Hello!

I am Kimberly Malachowski, also known as K.Mala. Thank you for visiting my portfolio, K.Mala Design Studio.

My story goes a little something like this…

I was born and raised in Southern California. I grew up dreaming I was going to be a ballerina in New York City, and that dream almost came true. After years of  ballet training and attending summer intensives all over the states, I ended up New York. I attended SUNY Purchase in New York, majoring in Dance. After my second major ankle injury took me away from my love of dance, I decided to pursue my other love, Art and Design, ofcourse! so…I moved back to California and graduated with my BFA in Illustration with an emphasis in Graphic Design, from Laguna College of Art and Design, in Laguna Beach.

During my senior year of college, I launched K.Mala Collection, a line of hand-painted and embellished tee’s. K.Mala Collection has sold at several boutiques in Southern California and has been spotted on celebs such as Annalynne McCord, Audrina Patridge, and Paris Hilton. I currently reside in Costa Mesa, CA, where I create custom websites and graphic designs for local fashion boutique’s, sew custom creations for K.Mala Collection, and paint through the day with watercolors.
